Abby Wambach

2012 London Olympic Games gold medalist Abby Wambach has been a force on the soccer field since childhood, when she once scored 27 goals in three games. Arguably the most dependable goal scorer in women's soccer, Wambach set collegiate records for goals, assists, points, game-winning goals and hat tricks. She later joined her hero, Mia Hamm, on the Washington Freedom as the two led their team to the WUSA title in 2003. Wambach also scored the goal that won the U.S. Women's Team the gold at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. She lives to win: Wambach received 10 stitches after butting heads with DPR Korea's Ri Kum-Suk in the 2007 World Cup. Wambach also had an iconic goal that led the U.S. team to victory against Brazil in the 122nd minute of the 2011 World Cup quarterfinals. And she is closing in fast on Mia Hamm's all-time scoring record of 158 international goals.
